Robert Lebeck, born in Berlin in 1929, worked for various magazines, until Stern magazine became aware of his exceptional reports. There he worked as a photo journalist for thirty years, with an intermezzo as editor-in-chief of Geo magazine. Robert Lebeck lives in Berlin. Steidl published his book "Vis-à-vis".
